The Power of Giving
I have been emerged in a gracious society over the last several months as I watched the holiday season pass by with the Salvation Army struggling to collect change in their little red tins with their ringing bells, yet still seeing little children drop the change from their mothers purses as they passed by to purchase holiday gifts. I had a friend sleep in a box in downtown Denver in the middle of December to raise money for the homeless in our city. I was brought to tears from pictures in Haiti as I watched the "Hope for Haiti Telethon" put on my by M.T.V. and I was nothing short of amazed to see people pull together for those trapped in that awful devastation and give what they could, even if it was a simple text worth $5. No matter how hard things may be, there is always someone who has it worse and we should forever be thankful for what we do have.
I was also struck with gratitude this week as I searched the great city of Denver to find a venue for a non profit event A Moment in Time is doing in May and had two venues offer to donate their facilities. When a school like a Montessori is providing something as valuable as educating our children and bringing them up to be compassionate, intelligent adults and doing it all on donations, it's great to see other businesses that recognize where they can help out. So, I encourage you to give where you can and pray for those less fortunate when you can't. What we put out always come back around full circle.

Tis The Bridal Show Season
Did you know that January is the most popular month for bridal shows in the U.S. with last weekend (the second weekend in January) being the most popular weekend throughout each year to hold a bridal show? I attended The Rocky Mountain Bridal Show last weekend here in Denver and while I was there I got reacquainted with old friends in the industry like Natalia at the always beautiful Arrowhead Golf Club, and met new friends such as Derek and Stan who over see breathtaking venues in Fairplay. I found new florist that I look forward to working with and photographers with a unique eye for extraordinary photos. I also found an incredibly talented videographer and saw up and coming bridal fashions that I can't wait to share with my clients. All of the amazing food that I got to taste from the eager catering companies, showed me that the possibilities to wow your guests taste buds are endless at your upcoming wedding or event.A Moment in Time will always have the bottom line and best interest in the forefront of our minds when planning for each clients unique needs, budget, and vision. The relationships we create with vendors throughout the great state of Colorado and a crossed the country allows us to give our clients lots of options. To schedule your first meeting with us, please contact us today and we look forward to working with you!

Where Did All The Customer Service Go
I can't begin to describe how important customer service is to me and how often I notice it in every thing I do each day. I guess I should re-phrase that to say how often I DON'T notice it each day and how often I see a complete lack of it. It truly saddens me and infuriates me when I'm giving someone my business and they treat me as if it is not of value to them. If you are in a service industry of any kind where your job requires you to help people in any way, from selling them gas to booking their airline tickets to renting their apartment, please remember that while the good in the world seems too often to go unnoticed, when you treat your customers poorly, they will likely never refer their friend to you and may not return their service to your company. In an economy where everyone is struggling, each persons business should be valued and treated with kindness and respect. Clients coming to A Moment in Time can rest assured that we "practice what we preach" and will always go the extra mile. Smile, it's contagious!
